Welcome

The 2009 Congress of the International Association for the Psychology of Religion (www.iapr.de) will be held in Vienna, Austria. The local organizing committee consists of members of the Department of Practical Theology and Psychology of Religion (public.univie.ac.at/index.php?id=16590) in co-operation with the Faculty of Psychology, Vienna University (psychologie.univie.ac.at/). 

Over the years, the IAPR Congresses have become an important meeting place for psychologists of religion and others interested in the field. The IAPR encourages contributions from all countries. We invite you to add to this congress with your empirical and/or theoretical research in, for example, neurosciences, religion/spirituality, mental health, fundamentalism or other topics. Congress languages will be mainly English, but also German and French.

Location and Time

The congress will be held at
Vienna University, Dr.-Karl-Lueger-Ring 1, A-1010 Vienna, left staircase, 1st floor, “Kleiner Festsaal”.  
The congress will start Sunday, 23 August, 17.00 with an opening event and end Wednesday, 26 August, 20.00 with a reception at Vienna Town Hall. Registration starts Sunday, 14.00.
